This park will include a tricycle path, grassed open space, bug themed shade structures and a picnic
area. Two separate bug themed play areas are planned: a 2-5 year old area and a 5-12 year old area.

| BIOGRAPHY |
Tom Karamanos was a community activist and was named Elk Grove Citizen of the Year in 1957. He was
instrumental in getting sidewalks and curbs placed in town. Tom´s leadership skills were proven
when he was chairman of the Elk Grove Children´s Christmas Party and a one-man committee in
supporting the Sacramento Trade Club in Elk Grove. He helped in supplying fireworks for the 1955 4th
of July Celebration. Tom was an active member in the Elk Grove Lions Club and his contributions were
generous to the Community Chest and United Crusade Campaigns.
