This park includes an open play area, half-court basketball, play equipment, shade structure and a
picnic area. An interpretive exhibit will describe the creek way. The park connects to a trail on both
the east and west side of this park.

| BIOGRAPHY |
Elizabeth Pinkerton is a distinguished educator at local, state and national levels. She is a dedicated
wife, mother, mentor, author, local newspaper columnist and is an esteemed leader in the Elk Grove
community. Elizabeth is described by long-time colleagues as an innovative and creative thinker who has
worked hard planting and nurturing the seeds for a quality education for all students. Her leadership in
community and local history led to her involvement with several community projects including the moving of
the Rhoads Schoolhouse to Elk Grove Park, the construction of the Elk Grove Hotel and Stage Stop, and the
formation of the Elk Grove Historical society. Elizabeth was designated as Citizen of the Year for the Elk
Grove community in 1982.
