| BIOGRAPHY |
Glen E. Underwood was born in Phoenix, Arizona and moved to Sacramento in 1946. He attended local high schools
and continued his education at California State University Sacramento, where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree
in engineering. As a civil engineer, Glen went to work with the Spink Corporation, and was involved with many
local builders in shaping the growing community of Elk Grove. His experience with the development business led to
the creation of the Underwood Development Company in 1983. Since it's inception the Underwood Development Company
has been responsible for the construction of many homes within the Elk Grove/South Sacramento area.
With experience in the development business Glen envisioned a community built within a peaceful, natural environment
which would enhance the beauty and quality of life of its residents, which is now known as Camden Passage. This
development incorporates nearly 58 acres of parks, lakes, nature area, parkways, corridors and medians; seven times
the amount of property required to be dedicated for these purposes by the Quimby Act.
Glen moved to Elk Grove in 1965 and currently resides in Camden Passage. He is the father of four children, Susie,
Brian, Elizabeth, and Kim. All of his children were graduates of Elk Grove High School and, with the exception of
Kim, are current residents of Elk Grove. Glen is also the proud grandfather of eight which include Brooke, Whitney,
Blake and Chase Underwood, Katie Blair, and Joshua, Katelin and Jacob Manley. In his spare time Glen enjoys fishing,
golf, duck hunting, and snow skiing.
