PARK FACILITIES MASTER PLAN
A Roadmap for the Future
Help create the future of your CSD park system. The Cosumnes CSD Parks and Recreation Department is developing a plan for building sustainable parks and recreational facilities in Elk Grove over the next 10-15 years. Your input is important.
What is a Master Plan?
A master plan is a document that captures the vision its community shares and establishes the blueprint that guides future decisions, expansions and programming. The Parks and Recreation Master Plan will focus on land, facilities and program needs for the next ten years. It will include a complete analysis of all District operational policy and funding mechanisms to determine how the CSD can best pay for the construction and upkeep of facilities desired by the community. It will consider trends in recreation, leisure-time and other activities, and how the CSD can best meet those trends. It will also look at youth and adult sports and activities related to specific age groups.
The CSD Parks and Recreation Department will use the completed master plan to guide the future development and management of Elk Grove parks, recreation, and open space.
